Majic Stables Riding Lessons and Training
Majic Stables Riding Academy offers English, Western, Driving and Dressage riding programs. We offer lessons for “tiny trotters” (5 to 7 years old), beginner adults, recreational riders, and show riders (up to the national level). Lessons can be tailored to suit each individual rider. We continually improve your skills and knowledge of the horse with visual, written, and hands-on exercises.
Our lesson programs continue throughout the year in our large indoor and outdoor arenas. Students and their families are invited to various special activities, and youth can participate in the Millennium Morgan Youth Club
This is defined as entry level showing and does not require you to own a horse. The rider learns how to control a horse in different surroundings by taking the horse outside of their regular environment. This is an excellent teaching tool, as well as a confidence builder for the rider.
Majic Stables is located in Norman, 3 miles west of I 35, on Rock Creek Road between Tecumseh and Robinson. We are open for visits Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm until 7:00pm, and Saturday 9:00am until 3:00pm.
Students must arrive early, be prepared, and be mounted on their horse before the scheduled lesson begins.
- Beginners should arrive 20 minutes prior to scheduled lesson time to assist with grooming and tacking their mount.
- Intermediate and advanced riders should arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled lesson time to groom and tack their mount.
Upon arrival at Majic Stables:
- Check the board to determine which horse you will ride.
- Find a helmet that fits and make sure it is properly adjusted.
- Find the proper saddle and bridle for your mount.
- Adjust your stirrups before your start time.
It is important to check, prior to your lesson, the proper fit of any and all equipment needed for you and your horse. Time adjusting and/or changing equipment will take away from your riding time.
A 24-hour notice of cancellation is required. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of lesson and fees. No refund or credit will be given for failure to cancel or complete a lesson or lesson package. Properly cancelled lessons can be made up at another time during the week or added to the end of the package.
